Funeral Service for William "Bill" Dixon were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Father James Kramper, officiating. Music was provided by Allison Kerkman and St. Theresa's Choir. Burial was in Clearwater Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jordan Kerkman, Justin Kerkman, Steven Petersen, Keith Fick, Jeremiah Nolze, and Jared Nolze. Visitation was 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with a 7:00 p.m. Wake Service. Bill passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Sevierville, TN. William Francis Dixon was born on June 19, 1949 to Frankie and Frances (Tekavec) Dixon in Denver, Co. He was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith at St. Patrick's in Lincoln. Bill attended school at St. Patrick's Elementary and Pius X High School in Lincoln, graduating in 1967.
On December 14, 1968 he was united in marriage to Rochelle (Chellie) Nolze at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Lincoln. Bill and Chellie moved to California in 1972 and returned to Clearwater in 1974. After returning to Clearwater, Bill worked at John Deere and purchased Clearwater Hardware, operating these businesses for many years. Bill enjoyed woodworking, taking pictures, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family. Most of all, Bill cherished family time spent with his grandchildren: Jordan Kerkman, Justin (Ashley) Kerkman, Casandra Kerkman, Cadyn Uttecht, and Penelope Dixon. Bill was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church, a past member of the Clearwater Fire Department/EMT squad and Clearwater School Board, and was currently serving on the Clearwater Village Board, a position that he held for nearly 30 years. In addition, Bill coached Little League baseball, helped at the Santa Shop, and was a regular spectator at his children's and grandchildren's activities and events. He is survived by his dearest love, Rochelle Dixon of Clearwater, his children, Brian Dixon of Clearwater, Stacy (Chris) Uttecht of Wisner, and Craig (Lauren) Dixon of Chicago, and his 5 grandchildren. Siblings-Dennis Dixon of Bolivar, MO; Tom (Cecilia) Dixon of Buffalo, MO; Deb (Jim) Fick of Lincoln, NE. Brother-in-law, Rick (Toni) Nolze of Greeley, NE and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frankie and Frances Dixon, his mother and father-in-law, Shirley and Fred Nolze, and nephews Danny Dixon, Timothy Fick, and Jeremy Fick.
