Susan Kay Funk Clearwater -- Funeral services for Susan Kay Funk age 56 of Clearwater were at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2006 at St. Theresa�s Catholic Church, Clearwater with Father Bill Safranek officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick�s Cemetery rural Clearwater. . She passed away Monday, October 30, 2006 at her home in Clearwater. Pallbearers were Greg Herley, Tyler Sanne, Curt Malzacher, Brian Malzacher, Kyle Mather, and Jude Freeman. Honorary Pallbearers were Barb Mlnarik, Molly Hobbs, Chellie Dixon, Barb Tichota, and Gail Beelaert. Music was provided by Josh Mlnarik soloist and Carol Thiele organist. Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater is in charge of the arrangements. Susan Kay Funk was born March 15, 1950 at Tilden, Nebraska to Paul and Dorothy (Ladwig) Malzacher. She grew up in Neligh and attended schools in Neligh and Norfolk. Susan Married Dennis Funk on September 9, 1967 at St Francis Catholic Church in Neligh. Together they made Clearwater their home and raised three children, of whom she was very proud of. She was a member of St. Theresa�s Catholic Church. Susan was a loving mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her humor; spirit and her pride in her family. She was a gracious hostess who enjoyed interior decorating, coffee with her friends, and being surrounded by family and those she loved. Survivors include her husband Dennis and three children: Chad and Melodie Funk of Battle Creek, Ne., Heather and Troy Dawson of Neligh, Ne., Sam Funk of Norfolk, Ne.; 7 grandchildren Chelcy, Lyndsey, Katie, Taylor, Grant, Gage, Jeremy; 3 brothers Paul and Deanna Malzacher of Kearney, Roger and Marianne Malzacher of Kearney, Mark and Valerie Malzacher of Hudson, WI and many loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
