Memorial Services for Steve Claude Schrage age 58 of Yankton, SD were held Saturday, November 15, 2008 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Clearwater with burial in the St. Theresa’s Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater. Steve passed away November 10, 2008 in Yankton, SD.
Steve Claude Schrage was born on September 14, 1950 to Claude and Josephine (Thiele) Schrage in Tilden, Nebraska. He was raised on the family farm near Clearwater and graduated from Clearwater High School in 1969 and attended Universal Technical Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. Steve made a career as an over-the-road truck driver and made his home at Yankton, SD near Gavins Point Dam. Steve enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycling, and spending time on the Missouri River and Lewis and Clark Lake.
He is survived by: his father, Claude Schrage and his spouse Vivian Watson. A Sister and her spouse, Jeanette and Arlyn Selting of Bozeman, MT. Four brothers and spouses: Cyril and Jennie Schrage of Clearwater, NE, Larry and Sheri Schrage of Ord, NE, Jim and Kate Schrage of Orchard, NE, and Roger Schrage of Cheyenne, WY. Fifteen nieces and nephews: Ann Sosa, Rachel Armstrong, Amy Williams, Regina Krebs, Coleen Schrage Doll, Anita Schrage, Kevin Schrage, Chris Schrage, Michelle Schrage, Nick Schrage, Kara Schrage, Lisa Walters, Mike Schrage, Courtney Shields, and Sam Schrage.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine (Thiele) Schrage and his grandparents: John and Josephine Thiele of Clearwater and Ferd and Anna Schrage of Elgin.
