Funeral Services for Sharon A. Steskal, age 70 of Clearwater, Nebraska were at 10:30 am Friday, March 7, 2014 at St. Peter's Catholic Church of Ewing, with Father James Kramper, Officiating. Music was provided by Bob and Rita Kester. Burial was in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brent Bollwitt, Eric Koenig, Ron Brion, Mike Moser, Johann Fry, Brad Hawk, Jacob Koenig and Lee Hobbs. Honorary Pallbearers were Her Coffee Club Friends and Mary Ann Biddlecome. Visitation was from 5 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 6, 2014, with a 7:00 pm Wake Service at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing. Sharon passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014. Arrangements are being conducted by Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater. Sharon Ann Steskal was born on September 15, 1943 in Orchard, Ne to William and Arlene (Schiffbauer) Hobbs. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Sharon attended Ewing High School. On February 12, 1961 she was united in marriage to Clifford Steskal at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing. They had just celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. She worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for her father at Hobbs' Feedlot for the last 44 years. She kept everyone in line and was her dad's right hand woman. Sharon loved spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed her coffee group of ladies. She was member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church and sodality.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford; children, Amy (Duane) Ritter of Tilden and Tony (Sheli) Steskal of Clearwater; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter, Scott (Sara) and daughter Avrie Pelster, Maggie Pelster, Katie Pelster, Megan Steskal, Cassie Steskal, and Andrew Steskal; step grandchildren, Macy Ritter, Lauren (Kenny) Theerman; and brothers and sisters, Patricia Brion (Joseph Robino) of Bennington, Duke (Molly) Hobbs, of O'Neill, Jeanne Fry of Norfolk, Christine (John) Moser of Clearwater, Rebecca (Dan) Koenig of Ewing, James Hobbs of Spearfish, So. Dak., Teresa (Randy) Hawk of Gretna, Germaine (Todd) Bollwitt of Ewing and sister-in-law Nadine "Jack" Charvat of Bellevue. Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Teresa; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Ellen Steskal; brothers-in-laws, Melvin (Gladys) Steskal, Johnny (Marcella) Steskal, Ron Brion and Jack Fry.
