Sandra Lee Clarkson

Funeral services for Sandra Clarkson, age 77, of Neligh, NE will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at St. Francis Church in Neligh with Father Pat Nields, officiating.  Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery at Neligh, NE.  Visitation will be 5:00 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2018 at Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh.  Sandra passed away peacefully in her sleep October 13, 2018 after a battle with cancer at the Neligh Care and Rehabilitations Center.


Sandra Lee Clarkson was born on August 19, 1941 at Wayne, Ne to Harry F. and Elsie (Wert) Kay. She was baptized April 5, 1950 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Confirmed May 29, 1955. On August 4, 1960 she was united in marriage to Keith Clarkson and later divorced. She and Keith owned and operated several newspapers. She moved to Neligh in 1983, she worked at Neligh News and Leader for many years.

Survivors are Sally (LeRoy) Clarkson of Neligh, NE, Gene (Bev) Kay of Columbus, NE, Linda (Larry) Anderson of Wakefield, NE, Roger Kay of Wayne, NE, Barbara Kay of Omaha, NE, and Mary (Gerald) Stalling of Wayne, NE, and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents and close friend Freddie Schindler.
