Funeral Services for Ronald D. WIllers, Sr., age 85, of Neligh, NE will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Neligh United Methodist Church with Pastor Bruce Phillips, officiating.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Wayne, NE with Military Rites.  Visitation will be 5:00 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh.  Ron passed away September 21, 2018 in Tilden, NE.  Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh is in charge of arrangements.


Ronald Dallas Willers, Sr. was born on January 5, 1933 to Elmer and Rachel (Heineman) Willers at Cuming County, Nebraska. He attended country schools through 8th grade. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on February 26, 1952 at Omaha, NE and was discharged on May 27, 1960 from Loring Air Force Base in Maine. He went into Trade College at Santa Rosa Jr. College. On March 17, 1961 was united in marriage to Dorothy Thompson at Williams, CA. They moved to Nebraska 1982. He enjoyed fishing and doing mechanical work on cars and lawn mowers. He was a member of the Clearwater American Legion Post #267.

Survived by his children: Catherine and Galen Niehues of Rushville, NE, Ronald Jr. and Shellie Willers of Norfolk, NE, and Penny and William Kiehl of Tilden, NE. 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters: Sylvia McAuliffe of Schuyler, NE, Larry and Carol Willers of Wayne, NE, Irene Fielder of Buda, TX, and Randy and Valerie Willers of Jackson, NE.

Preceded in death by parents; wife; and sisters, Barbara Forth and Betty Rice; nieces and nephews.
