Ron James Sisson

Funeral Services for Ron J. Sisson age 63, of Ewing, Ne were 10:30 am, Friday, December 10, 2010 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing, NE with Father James Kramper, Officiating. Music was provided by Doris Ann Bollwitt, organist and Bob Sisson, soloist. Visitation was Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7 pm at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Burial was in Ewing City Cemetery. Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Ron passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill.

James Ronald Sisson was born at home on December 27, 1946 to Robley and Helen (Snyder) in Ewing, NE. He Graduated with the class of 1965 from Clearwater High School. Ron married Linda Thramer on March 5, 1969 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing, NE. He worked as an utility lineman and worked for Keith Bartak, farming. Ron enjoyed cooking, fishing, and playing cards especially Texas Hold'em. He was a member of the Blarney Stone Poker Club.

He is survived by his sons: Rod and his wife Jennifer Sisson of Grand Island, NE and Scott and his wife Lisa Sisson of Norfolk, NE. Grandchildren: Jayk and Hannah Sisson of Grand Island, NE and Kylie Sisson of Norfolk, NE. Brothers: Dana Sisson of O'Neill, NE, Jack and wife Francine Sisson of Elkhorn, NE, Jerry and wife Dianne Sisson of Clearwater, NE, Gene and wife LaVonne Sisson of Ewing, NE, and Tom Sisson of Grand Island, NE. Sister-in-law, Donna Mae Sisson of Portland, OR.

Preceded in death by his parents. Brothers: William, Robley, and Bobby. Sisters: Betty and Marcella
