Funeral Services for Robert Walz age 47 of Crete, NE were 10:30 am, Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father John Broheimer, Officiating. Music was provided by Jane Ruterbories, Organist and Roxanne McNally, Natalie Bullock, Soloist. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Neligh, NE. Pallbearers were Brian Legate, Shane Ellmers, Scott Legate, John Johnson, Kirk Myers, James Duff, Quentin Walz, Landon Walz, McCabe Walz, and Doug Legate. Visitation was from 3 to 8 pm, Monday, May 28, 2012 at Beyer-Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh. Robbie passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Crete, Nebraska. All cards can be sent to the family at P.O. Box 244 Crete, NE 68333 Robert Anthony Walz was born on September 15, 1964 to Robert and Alda (Roper) Walz and raised in Neligh, Nebraska. Robert was a graduated of Neligh-Oakdale High School with the Class of 1982. He then drove across the country and had settled down in Crete as a shag driver at Farmland. Robert is survived by his daughter, Michaella Myers and grandson Joseph Myers of Crete, his ex-wife, Linda Walz of Omaha. Sisters: Margaret Ashley of Rapid City, SD, Joyce Walz of Rapid City, SD, and Rita Walz of Beaulaville, NC. Brothers: Joseph Walz of Kearney, NE and Victor Walz of Greely, NE. Uncle, Dean and his wife Juanita Roper of Forest City, NC. Preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and brother-in-law, Steven Ashley.
