Patricia A. VanVleck age 93 of Clearwater passed away March 16, 2005 at her daughters home in LeClaire, IA. Funeral services were 10:00 AM, Monday, March 21, 2005 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Kay Alnor officiating. Music selections were provided by Carol Thiele and Bob Kester. Burial was in the Clearwater Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael, Jeffrey and Lance Ray, Erik, John, Paul and Karl VanVleck. Funeral arrangements were conducted by Snider Memorial Funeral Home. Pat was born April 4, 1911 at Lexington, NE the daughter of Bunn and Meta (Lantz) Scott. She attended and graduated from Clearwater High School in 1930. On September 11, 1932 she married Harold VanVleck at Chadron, NE. The couple farmed west of Clearwater until retiring in 1967 and moving into Clearwater. Harold passed away March 21, 1972 in Omaha, NE. Pat later worked at the bowling alley, Cardinal Caf� and L bar B in Clearwater as a cook. She loved to work, bowl and do ceramics. Survivors include two sons: L. Dale and Delores VanVleck of Lincoln, NE, Fred and Charlotte VanVleck of Lawrence, KS; a daughter, Betty and Robert Ray of LeClaire, IA. One sister, Jesse Neal of Fremont, NE. Twelve grandchildren: John VanVleck, Elizabeth and Pierre VanImpe, Erik and Barbara VanVleck, Karl VanVleck, Kristina and Bryan Ingram, Teresa and Peter Munk, Michael Ray, Angela Hall, Jeffrey and Linda Ray, Jodi Jacober, and Lance and Kelly Ray, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Mabel Thomson, Shirley Richardson and Ruth Elderkin; brothers: Ray and Wayne Scott.
