Memorial Services for Orlando F. Todd, age 89, of Neligh will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2007 at Calvary Bible Church in Neligh. Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater is handling the arrangements. Orlando passed away November 19, 2007 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk after lingering health problems. Orlando Franklin Todd was born on April 15, 1918 in Antelope County, Clearwater, Nebraska. His parents were Leonard Olwin Todd and Agnes Evaline Bare Todd. He grew up on the family farm north east of Clearwater and attended Grecian Band Country School, District #16. Orlando graduated from Neligh High School in 1934. He was active in FFA during High School and was 4-H leader for about 20 years. Orlando farmed NE of Clearwater until 1955 when his father died. He then farmed south of Clearwater and cared for his mother. He attended Fairview Union Sunday School. Besides farming, Orlando enjoyed teaching Sunday School and giving to the Christian Missionary outreaches. In later years he attended the Calvary Bible Church in Neligh. Orlando was well-liked at the willows and Golden Living Center in Neligh. Orlando is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mildred. He is survived by two nephews, Kerwin & wife Gerry Kent, Denton & wife Dianne Kent and two nieces, Wanda Rasmussen and Rosemary & husband Tony Svehla who are in South Texas for the winter.
