Michael Keith Bartak

Funeral Services for Michael Keith Bartak age 56 of Ewing, were Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. John's Catholic Church rural Clearwater with Father James Kramper, Officiating. Music was provided by Tom Kimes, Organist and Mark & Julie Dwyer, Soloists. Burial was be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg Bartak, Pete Funk, Dan McLain, Quint McLain, Terry Rudolf, and Dale Hixson. Honorary Pallbearers were Pat McLain, Larry Shavlik, Virgil Hupp, Jake Schindler, John Mlnarik, and Merle Sehi. Visitation was be Friday, September 13, 2013 from 5 to 8:00 pm with a 8:00 Wake Service at the church. Mike passed away Tuesday, September 10 at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh. Arrangements are being conducted by Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Michael Keith Bartak was born on February 23, 1957 to Vern Keith and Jacquette Bartak in Neligh, NE. He graduated with the Class of 1975 from Ewing High School. He was a Farmer for all his life. On July 30, 1977, he was united into marriage to Barb Woslager in Ewing, NE. Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, TV, music, his dogs, and joking,. He always enjoyed his time with his family and his grandsons. Mike was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and he served on the Ewing School Board for several years, and Wheeler Zoning Committee. Survived by his wife, Barb. Daughters: Jami and husband Brent Schmidt of Neligh, NE, Amanda and husband Nate Dillon of Bennet, NE, Amber and husband Kasey Nachtman of Lincoln, NE, Brooke Bartak of Lincoln, NE, and Heather Bartak of Kearney, NE. Four Grandsons, Jacson and Phillip Dillon, Noah and Will Schmidt. His parents, Vern Keith and Jacquette Bartak of Ewing, NE. Siblings: Ann and Kevin Kurpgeweit and their children, Matthew and Emily of Ewing, NE, Beth and Dave Hynes and their children, Michael and Laura of Ewing, NE, Matt Bartak of Ewing, and Peg Abels and her children Megan and Alex of Kearney, NE. Preceded in death by Brother, Steve. Grandparents: Lambert & Berniece Bartak and Wilmer Mosel and Marguerite Mosel Johnson. Aunt, Patty Jensen.
