Mary Ellen Retzlaff

Private family Memorial service will be held for Mary Retzlaff age 68 of Neligh, Nebraska. She will be buried in the Laurel Hill Cemetery. She passed away on January 9, 2025 at Arbor Care Center in Neligh, Nebraska. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  Mary Retzlaff was born on December 15, 1956 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a long time resident of Neligh, Nebraska. As a young girl she could be seen at the Village Dress Shop which was managed by her mother Edith Retzlaff. 

 Mary attended school in Oakdale, Nebraska and graduated from Neligh High School. After graduation she worked at the Imperial Steakhouse. Mary loved Nebraska football and NFL football. She could sometimes be heard yelling some not so nice words if her favorite team was losing. 

 Mary loved her family and claimed her sister-in-law Jolene's family as her family, also. She loved her animals, especially her cuddly cat, Sassy. 

 Mary spent the last years of her life at the Arbor Care Center in Neligh, She really enjoyed the care she received there. She loved the employees and residents. 

 Mary is survived by her brother, Mike and Jolene Retzlaff; niece Jodi Retzlaff; and nephew Justin and Lindsay Retzlaff and one great niece and great nephews. 

 Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Edith Retzlaff and Milton Retzlaff.
