Marie Kathryn Thiele

Funeral services for Marie K. Thiele age 85 of Clearwater were at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at St. John�s Catholic Church rural Clearwater, with Father Bill Safranek officiating. Music was provided by Mark and Julie Dwyer and Patrick Moser. Burial was in the St. Patrick�s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brett Wells, Jared Wells, Jeff Thiele, Nick Thiele, James Thiele and Kevin Thiele. Honorary Pallbearers were Joel Weber, Peter Rastrelli, and Curt Faust. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, 2006 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and after 6:30 p.m. at the church with a 7:00p.m. vigil scripture service. She passed away Saturday January 14, 2006 at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh. Snider Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Marie Kathryn Thiele was born July 8, 1920 at St. Charles, South Dakota to James and Mary (Turnavec) Pistulka. She grew up and graduated from Fairfax High School in 1938 and received her teaching certificate at Springfield, South Dakota College. She taught school from 1938 to 1941 at Gregory, South Dakota. She married Vincent Thiele on November 26, 1945 at Fairfax, South Dakota. The couple made their home in the St. John�s area living in Wheeler, Holt and Antelope Counties. Marie was a member of St. John�s Church, Christian Mothers, St. John�s Alter society and HHH extension club. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were very important to her. Survivors include her husband Vincent of Clearwater; Children: Kathryn and Dennis Wells of Beatrice, Robert and Nancy Thiele of Elgin, and John and Patty Thiele of Clearwater. 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons; Thomas, Pat, and Joe; 2 brothers Don and John; 1 sister Mabel; mother and father in-law Carl and Rose Thiele. Memorials may be directed to: St. Patrick�s Cemetery Endowment or Pope John Endowment.
