Memorial Service for Magdalene E. Hayes, age 93, of Norfolk, Ne will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh, with Rev. Douglas Braun, Jr, Officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service. Magdalene passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Norfolk Veterans Home in Norfolk, Ne. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Magdalene Emma Tichota Hayes was born on June 1, 1926 to Anton and Helen (Cech) Tichota in Stanton, NE. She attended school at Neligh High School. On February 11, 1946 she was united in marriage to Leonard Hayes at Madison Ne. The couple moved to California in 1957 and then moved to Neligh. She enjoyed crochet, crossword puzzles, sewing, bowling, shopping and dancing.
She is survived by daughters: Gail and husband Dom Consoli of Norfolk, Ne, Debbie Desautels of Neligh, Ne, Cindy and husband Guy Lewis of Onawa, Ne, Robin and husband Dave McCleery of Lincoln, Ne. 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Siblings: Engelbert, James, Lambert, Gladys, Elise, Violet. Son-in-law, Richard Desautels.
