Funeral Service for Louis Thiele age 91 of Clearwater, Nebraska will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2024 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Clearwater, Nebraska. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024 with Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Clearwater. Burial will be in St. Theresa’s Catholic Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Clearwater American Legion Post #267. Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements, Louis passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Arbor Care in Neligh, Nebraska.     Louis Thiele was born on September 20, 1932 in Clearwater, Nebraska to John F. and Josephine (Keber) Thiele. He attended District #7 school through the 8th grade and graduated with the Class of 1949 from Clearwater High School. Louis was drafted into the United States Army from 1953 - 1955. He served for a time at Regensburg, Germany with the Army 485th Engineers. On June 14, 1958 he was united in marriage to Jeanette Moser at Saint Bonaventure Catholic Church at Raeville, Nebraska. They lived on the farm north of Clearwater where Louis farmed all his life. To this marriage seven children were born Joe, Dean, Dan, Ted, Pete, James, and Mary. He was a member of Clearwater American Legion and St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Clearwater. 

   Survived by his children: Joe (Carol) Thiele of Clearwater, Ne; Dean Thiele of Clearwater, NE; Dan (Kris) Thiele of Buffalo, WY; Ted (Colleen) Thiele of Atkinson, NE; Pete (Joan) Thiele of Oakland, NE; James (Leenda) Thiele of Clearwater, NE; Mary (Arnold) Talero of Martell, NE. 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Sister-in-law Caroline Kallhoff of LaVista, Nebraska. 

   Preceded in death by wife Jeanette; his parents; four brothers and six sisters and their spouses.
