Graveside Service for Judy Eubank of Topeka, KS formally of Neligh, NE will be 11:00 am Monday, December 21, 2015 at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Neligh. Judith Elvira Stolpe Rice Eubank was born on August 13, 1911 to Peter and Bertha Stolpe in Souix City, IA. At the age of 16, she and her two younger siblings were orphaned and sent to live at the Masonic Eastern Star Home for children. Judy graduated from college in 1931 with a Bachelor of Education Degree. She taught school for 3 years and later was a social worker. On July 30, 1935 she was united in marriage to Robert Harold Rice II. Harold practiced law from 1935 to 1965 in Neligh. They owned the auditorium on Main Street, with the cow mural painted on the side of it. She and Harold were very active in the Democratic party of Antelope County and State Central district of Nebraska. They were also active in the community with the hospital, Chamber of Commerce, Neligh Country Club, and other civic affairs. Later in life she was married to Wyatt Eubank from 1972-1975. She enjoyed traveling, walking. She was interested in health and did what was best to follow what she new. Walks with friends and coffee with the girls at Bernita's Cafe. She was a PEO member for 65 years. Initiated October 17, 1950. Eastern Star member. also, member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Neligh.
She survived by sister, Mardell Free of Oakland CA. 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husbands: Robert Harold Rice II and Wyatt Eubank. Sons: Robert Harold Rice III and Stan Rice.
