John Carter Wells was born on March 3, 1953 to Edwin and Elizabeth (Wupper) Wells at Neligh, NE. He attended Neligh-Oakdale High School and graduated with the class of 1971. He attended Northeast Community College for 2 years and he went to University of Nebraska Lincoln and received his license to Counselor. He worked at Valley Hope as a Drug and alcohol counselor. On November 10, 2005 he was united in marriage to Pamela Butler. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and his dogs. He also enjoyed music, he played in many area bands.
Survived by his children: Eric (April) Wells of Arthur, IA; Jillian Wells of Omaha, NE; and Katie (Eric) Newman of Lincoln, NE. Three grandchildren, Trust Wells, Lennon Wells, and Justice Wells. A sister, Mary Frasch of Neligh, NE. Nephews, Scott Cornett and Mike Cornett. Nieces, Angela Cornett, Jeni Sanderson-Hoppe, and Theresa Sanderson.
Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Susan Sanderson.
