Graveside Service for JoEllyn Clouse age 91 of Bartlett, NE will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Bartlett Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at United Methodist Church in Bartlett with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. JoEllyn passed away January 22, 2022 at Arbor Care Center in Neligh, Ne. JoEllyn Marie Clouse was born October 17, 1930 in the Chambers area to Leon and
Anna (Nielsen) Hertel. She attended rural Holt County schools and graduated from
Chambers High School in 1948.
JoEllyn was united in marriage to Cecil Clouse on March 26, 1949. They made their
home north of Bartlett where they ran a cow/calf operation.
JoEllyn spent her life raising her children; Carol Marie, Kenneth Lloyd and David Leon. She worked tirelessly doing the daily ranch chores and taking care of the animals. JoEllyn was especially passionate about horses and drew and painted many pictures of them. She also loved flowers and always had several flower gardens around her yard. JoEllyn was a member of the Bartlett Saddle Club and the American Quarter Horse Association.
JoEllyn lived a wonderful life on her ranch until December 2021 when she entered Arbor Care Center in Neligh, NE where she passed away on January 22, 2022 at the age of 91.
JoEllyn is survived by her two sons; Kenneth (Beth) Clouse of Springfield, NE and David (Cheryl) Clouse of Ericson along with four grandchildren; Abby (Mark) Enslow of Gillespie, IL; Ali Clouse, Aaron (Kelley) Clouse both of Omaha, NE and Brent Clouse of Phoenix, AZ; four great-grandchildren Brayden, Brycen and Braxtyn Enslow of Gillespie, IL and Jameson Clouse of Omaha along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil, daughter Carol Clouse-Griffith, and four sisters; Olive Ray, Leota Anderson, Burdeen Bishop and JoAnne Clouse –her twin sister.
Our Mother, will be truly missed and forever loved by her family along with all who knew and loved her. Thank you, Mom for everything! May you rest in Peace … no more worries of pain, “We love you.”
