Funeral services for Jack Lynn Fry, age 62, were at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2011 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing, NE. Music was provided by Nancy Harpster. Burial was in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Duke Hobbs, Jim Hobbs, Bob Musil, Tim Woslager, Chad Napier, Randy Hawk. Honorary Pallbearers were John Moser, Dan Koenig, Clifford Steskal, and Todd Bollwitt. Visitation was Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 p.m at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Rosary said at 6:30 p.m. Jack Lynn Fry was born on October 18, 1948 in Tilden, Nebraska to Lynn and Marilyn (Napier) Fry. Jack attended Riverside till the 8th grade and then graduated from Ewing High School with the class of 1966. He attended college at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE. Jack then enlisted into the United States Army on May 9, 1968 at Omaha, NE. He served in Vietnam. He was discharged on March 20, 1970 from Fort Stewart, GA. Jack returned to Ewing, and on June 5, 1971, he was united in marriage to Jeanne Hobbs at St. Peter's Catholic Church. To this marriage they had 2 children, Bridget and Johann. They owned Jack's Pub for 7 years, owned The Way Christian Book Store in Neligh, NE, and Jack worked at Hobb's Feedlot for most of his working career. Jack enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and most of all, he loved his work. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. Jack was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and taught religious education for numerous years. He is survived by his wife. Children: Bridget and husband Dan Riedell of Marion, IA and Johann and wife Lindsay Fry of Omaha, NE. Seven grandchildren; Josephine, Isabelle, Miriam, and Xavier Riedell and Madelynn, Mackenzie, and Jack Fry. A sister, Sheila and husband Bob Musil of Egene, OR. Preceded in death by his parents.
