Funeral services for Ilene M. Jones age 75 formerly of Clearwater, Ne were 10:00 am, Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater with Pastor Matthew Gilmore, Officiating. Music was provided by Jan Grimm, Dave Bergquist, Howard Grimm, and Laurie Larson. Burial was in Clearwater Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shane Wright, Mitchell Silvers, Roger Hornback, Mark Hornback, Mike Hornback, and Dennis Hespe. Visitation was Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Ilene passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Yankton Care Center in Yankton, SD. Arrangements are being conducted by Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Ilene M. (Hornback) Jones, daughter of Lester and Caroline Hornback was born on October 9, 1939 at Spencer, NE. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1957. On October 29, 1961 she married Lewis Jones in Spencer, NE. Ilene had several occupations as a Tupperware Sales and manager for many years. She also worked as a waitress at L Bar B Steakhouse in Clearwater for many years. She also was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. June 2011, she moved to Yankton, SD. In September, 2011 she entered Avera Sister James Nursing Home where she resided until she passed away.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Carrie (Edward) Taulbee of Norfolk, NE and Mary Ellen (Rich) Wright of Yankton, SD. Five grandchildren: Caroline Droescher of North Platte, NE, Courtney Droescher of Sac City, IA, Alyssa (Josiah) Hult of Maple Gove, MN, Shane Wright of Yankton, SD, and Cheyanne (Mitchell) Silvers of Norfolk, NE. Four great grandchildren Heath and Dauminque Droescher, Emsley Hult, and Alex Droescher. 1 brother, Merwin of Lead, SD and Gay Lorenz of San Jose CA. Many nieces and nephews. 2 sister-in-laws, Elsie (Donnie) Jones and Bonnie (Dick) Kallhoff. Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, grandparents, 3 brothers; Dean, Duane and Dale, 3 sister; Lois Clemens, Lela Mae Crotinger, and Joanne Hurley; also including sister-in-laws, brother-in-law and parents-in-laws.
