Funeral Services for Harold H. Parks, age 90 of O'Neill, Nebraska were at 10:30 am Thursday, May 16, 2013 at St. Peter's Catholic Church of Ewing, with Father James Kramper, Officiating. Music was provided by Doris Ann Bollwitt, Organist and Doug Wright, soloist. Burial was at St. Peter's Cemetery in Ewing, NE with Military Rites by Sander's American Legion Post #214. Pallbearers were Scott Lofquest, Craig Lofquest, Gerald Parks, Phillip Parks, J. J. Parks, and Galen Pokorney. Visitation was from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday, May 15, 2013 with a 7 pm Prayers Service at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing. Harold passed away May 12, 2013 at Golden Living Center in O'Neill, NE. Arrangements are being conducted by Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater. Harold Henry Parks was born on June 15, 1922 in Page, NE to Harold and Minnie (Park) Parks. He attended school in Page. On August 14, 1941, he was united in marriage to Viola Strong at Neligh, NE. They celebrated 69 years of marriage. He was enlisted in the United States Navy on January 22, 1945 and was discharged March 28, 1946. He drove truck for most of his life. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and just tinkering with something. Harold was a member of the Sanders American Legion Post #214. He is survived by His son, Harold Parks of O'Neill, NE. Daughters, Anita and husband, Terry Lofquest of Overland Park, KS and Viola and husband Gary Montgomery of Lincolnton, NC. 18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Brother, Maurice and wife, Marlene Parks of O'Neill, NE. Step sister, Phyllis Anderegg of CA. Preceded in death by Parents, wife, and daughter, Ardis and husband Larry Noffke. Grandson Tom and step mother. 4 brothers, Homer, Merwyn, Wayne, and Bob.
