Memorial Services for Harlan D. Frazier, age 92, of Neligh, NE, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2018, at Neligh United Methodist Church in Neligh, NE with Pastor Bruce Phillips, Officiating. Burial will be at Clearwater Cemetery in Clearwater, NE. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh. Harlan David Frazier was the second of three children born to Maurice and Maude Frazier, at Arma, Kansas on January 11, 1926. He attended Kansas State College for two years, then entered the United States Air Force for four years, training to be a pilot until the war ended in 1945. He would return to Kansas University to graduate with a B.S. in accounting two years later. During this time, Harlan met the love of his life, LaVonne E. Mummert of Clearwater, NE and they married on December 27, 1953. LaVonne passed away May 5, 2005. After marriage, Harlan worked for Merril Lynch for two years, then Tension Envelope Corporation in Kansas City, MI for approximately 25 years as head accountant. He later pursued his own business in Nebraska City for six years in retail. He then moved to Neligh, to work with Leon McCoy as an accountant and tax preparer where he later retired. Harlan’s hobbies included family, yard work, gardening, and barbecuing.
Harlan is survived by his two sons, Gary of Omaha, NE and David and his wife Judy of Greeley, CO, three grandsons: Chad, wife Leah; Curtis, wife Dorina; Todd. Two great grandchildren, Addison and Joshua.
Harlan was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post of Neligh. He was a 50 plus year member of the Girard Lodge #93 of AF and AM of Kansas (Masons) and a lifetime member of the Kansas University Alumni Association.
