Funeral Service for Grace V. Miller age 99 of Neligh, NE were 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2017 at Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh, with Pastor Janet Davis, Officiating and music provided by Carolyn Weinman. Visitation was an hour before funeral service. Burial was in Brunswick Cemetery. Pallbearers were Galen Rader, Richard Schwager, Jerry Schwager, Dennis Schwager, Rick Rader, Rick Rader, and Mike Bohnenkamp. Grace passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh, NE. Condolences may be directed to the family at www.beyersnidermemorialfh.com Memorial may be directed to Brunswick Cemetery Grace Violet Miller was born on August 19, 1917 at Brunswick, NE to Jess E. and Josephine (Hobbs) Rader. Attended school at District #78 and Brunswick, graduated with Brunswick High School Class of 1935. Married Glen (Pete) Miller on June 22, 1939 in Los Angeles, CA. Lived in Los Angeles from 1938 to 1954. Worked as a waitress and manager for the same restaurant for 16 years. Moved back to Nebraska on a farm in 1954 lived on the same farm for 40 years. Enjoyed helping Glen farm, raising chickens, and raising little white pigs, which she loved; large gardens, and keeping a beautiful lawn with flowers. Moved to Brunswick in 1995. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and life time member of Rainbow Auxiliary moved to Willows 2009.
Survived by her brothers: LeRoy (Rhea) Rader of Sunland, CA, Glen (Alice) Rader of Santa Fe Springs, CA, Elaine Benning of Pleasant Hill, CA, and Uralee Schwager of Neligh, NE. Neices and nephews and host of friends.
She preceded in death by her husband (1994), her parents, sister Lucille Lockwood, Evelyn Charf, Clara Butler, Goldie Rader, Faye Heckman, and brothers: Vernon, Kenneth, Edward, Harold "Jerry", Jess Rader.
