Funeral Services for Gladys Steskal age 78 of Ewing, were Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 10:30 am at United Methodist-Presbyterian Church in Ewing with Pastor Costa De Oliveira, Officiating. Music was provided by Nancy Harpster, Organist and Doug Wright, Soloist. Pallbears were Robert Snyder, Rodney Wright, Kenneth Steskal, Tony Steskal, Kevin Melena, and Tim Arehart. Burial was at the Ewing City Cemetery in Ewing. Visitation was Monday, February 16, 2009, 5 to 7 pm at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater.
Mrs. Steskal passed away Saturday February 14, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in O'Neill.
Gladys Marie Wright Steskal was born on February 28, 1930 to George and Helen Wright in Ewing, Nebraska. She was Baptized and Confirmed in the Ewing Methodist Church. She attended Stafford Country School. On December 2, 1949, she was united into Marriage to Melvin Steskal in O�Neill, Nebraska. She worked as a waitress, house cleaner, babysitter, telephone operator and caretaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Women. She liked to read, watching TV, Wheel of Fortune was one of her favorites.
She is survived by daughter, Donna and her husband Trent Lancelot of Goodyear, AZ and son, Marvin and wife Diane Steskal of Ewing, NE. Sisters, Barbara Snyder of Ewing, NE and Shirley and husband Larry Malena of Battle Creek, NE. 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, husband, Melvin; two sisters Jaunita (Need) Sands, Beulah (Boots) Arehart. A Brother, Ivan (Bud) Wright; and half brothers, Earl, Roy, and Ernest Wright.
