Geraldine Wright

Funeral Services for Geraldine Wright age 72, of Ewing, Nebraska, were on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing, Nebraska with Father James Kramper, Officiating. Music was provided by the Church Band. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery in Ewing. Pallbearers were Scott Wright, Zach Wright, Aaron Rockford, Alec Rockford, Adam Rohlfs, and Cody Wright. Visitation was from 5 -7:30, Tuesday, March 23, 2010 with a 7:30 Rosary at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing. Music was provided by Doris Ann Bollwitt, Organist and James and Bill O'Malley, Soloist for the Rosary.

Geraldine passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in O'Neill.

Geraldine Rotherham Wright was born on April 22, 1937 to Roy and Ann (Bauer) Rotherham in Ewing, Nebraska. Growing up in Ewing, she worked side by side with her mom and sisters working at the Green Lantern. She graduated with the class of 1955 from Ewing High School. After graduating she taught school. On October 12, 1957 she married the love of her life Ivan "Bud" Wright in Ewing at St. Peter's Catholic Church. They made their home west of Ewing on the ranch for almost 50 years. She was a housewife and mother to her 8 children. Bud passed away May of 2007. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bridge with her family and friends. Her 2 favorite TV shows were Wheel of fortune and Price is Right. Geraldine was very involved with Omaha Archdiocese and St. Peter's Church. She belonged to bridge club, women's golf league, and bowling league. Ged will always be remembered by her laugh and her pretty blue eyes.

She is survived by her 8 children: Rod and wife Melanie Wright of North Platte, NE, Jeff and wife Micki Wright of Ewing, NE, Lisa Wright of Chambers, NE, Sheila Wright of Clearwater, NE, Angie Rohlfs of Sioux City, IA, Will Wright of Wellington, KS, Doug Wright of Ewing, NE, and Matt Wright of Clearwater, NE. Her 24 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Her Brothers and Sisters: Betty Hawthorne of Albion, NE, Donna Wood of Lincoln, NE, Jerry and wife Karen Rotherham of Ewing, NE, Bernadine and husband Leo O'Malley of O'Neill, NE, Sharon Ward of Ewing, NE, and Ed "Butch" and wife Carol Rotherham of Ewing, NE. Sister-in-law, Marge Rotherham of Fort Robinson, NE and Claudia Rotherham of WY.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, brothers Pat, Jim, and Vince Rotherham. An infant brother, Michael. Sister-in-laws and Brother-in-laws.
