Ewing � Funeral Services for Gail D. Boies, age 98 of Ewing will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the United Methodist-Presbyterian in Ewing with Pastor Costa de Oliveira, officiating. Music will be provided by Doris Ann Bollwitt organist. Burial will be at St. Peter�s Cemetery in Ewing with Military Rites conducted by Sanders American Legion Post #214 of Ewing. Pallbearers will b Frank Morrison, Rollie Huntley, Don Moser, Mark Mosel, Brian Kroeger, and Kyle Kramer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bev Sparr, Mary Ann Biddlecome, Jan Fisher, Brenda Watson, Lynn Morrison, Sharon Steskal, Lois Dempster, and Denise Hartigan. Visitation will be 4 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater. Gail passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007 at his home. Gail Delso Boies was born September 27, 1908 at Stafford, NE. He was the son of Charles and Maud (Shobe) Boies. They moved to farm southwest of Plainview at age 6. He Attended Plainview Grade School and later moved back to Ewing. On February 6, 1934 he was united in marriage in Ewing to Odelia �Dill� Bohn. They lived all their married years in Ewing. They owned and operated a service station in Ewing. They were married for 59 years. Odelia ran it when Gail was called into the service during WWII. Gail was inducted into the service February 23, 1943 at Fort Crook, NE. He was honorably discharged on September 27, 1945 at George Field Lawrenceville, ILL. Odelia Passed away August 1, 1993. Gail enjoyed fishing and playing cards. Survivors include his fianc� Lois Mosel of Ewing, 1 brother Alfred Boies of Texas, sister-in-law Rose Bauer of Neligh, NE, many nieces, including Norma Jean and husband Don White of Plainview, many nephews including Max & his wife Helen Bohn of O�Neill, NE, He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 3 brothers Ray, Glen, Charley and 4 sisters: Florence Hahlenbeck, Dee Boies, Mary Tomjack, Jane Japp.
