Funeral Services for Frances Spangler age 97 of Ewing, NE will be 10:30 am Thursday, January 28, 2016 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing with Father James Kramper, Officiating. Burial will be in Ewing City Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with a 6:00 pm Wake Service at the Church. Frances passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Neligh, NE. Memorials may be directed to St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing. Frances Spangler was born on June 27, 1918 to Frank and Cecilia (Everett) Sands at Petersburg, Nebraska. She attended country school rural Ewing. She was united in marriage to Ignatius Heumesser in 1937. She was united in marriage to Charles Spangler in 1949. They made their home South of Ewing. Charles passed away on 1979. She married to Immanuel Stonacek in 1981. They moved to town. She enjoyed her livestock of chickens and Calves. Frances enjoyed her walks with Bert. She was very strong in her faith. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. Survived by her children: Charlotte and Steve Hamilton of O'Neill, NE, Francis and Mary Huemesser of Gering, NE, and Lyle and Trudy Spangler of Ewing, NE. 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husbands, Ignatius Heumesser, Charles Spangler, Immanuel Stonacek. Daughter: Sister Mary John. Brothers and sisters: Frank Sands, Lawrence Sands, Mary Daniels, Josephine Funk, and Anna Whiting.
