Funeral Service for Evelyn Reutzel, age 93, of Neligh, Ne will be held at 11:00, Monday, June 9, 2014 at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Neligh, with Pastor Janet Davis, Officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Neligh. There will be visitation an hour before the service at the church at 10:00 a.m. Evelyn passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Neligh. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Evelyn Anita Reutzel was born on September 27, 1920, in Norfolk, Nebraska to Louis and Clemmie (Schafer) Nelson. She graduated from Neligh High School in 1938. Evelyn was married to Clayton Reutzel in Stanton, Nebraska, on December 21, 1942. Evelyn was employed for several years at Farber's and Wanek Drug. She was a member of the First Congregational Church. She was active in the choir and Women's Fellowship. Survived by son, Richard (Cindy) Reutzel and daughter, Linda (Ed) Melcher. Grandchildren; Mark, Connie, Julie, Lisa and great grandchild, Jason. Brother-in-law, Ron Petersen. Nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death y her parents; Louie and Clemmie Nelson, husband, Clayton Reutzel. Sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Merle Rice, sister-in-law Betty Petersen.
