Ellen Pearl Heermann

Memorial Services for Ellen Heermann, age 78, of Neligh, NE will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 1st Congregational United Church of Christ, with Rev. Dr. Rebecca Z. McNeil, Officiating. Ellen passed August 2, 2019 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Ellen Pearl Heerman was born on June 28, 1941 in Neligh, Nebraska to Harold and Margaret (Detlefsen) Peterson. She grew up in Neligh and graduated from Neligh High School. Ellen worked at the Antelope County Sheriff office as a dispatcher for many years, managed a women's clothing store at Sunset Plaza in Norfolk, bartended, kept books for small business owners and was a rural postal carrier in Ainsworth. She was a member of the 1st Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed flowers, crafting, and being outdoors.
Survived by her daughters: Karmen and Rick Hoffman of Clearwater, NE; Shannon Olson of Neligh, NE; and Serena Heermann and Wendy Stutzman of Waverly, NE. 7 grandchildren and 14 + great grandchildren. Brothers: Terry and Donna Peterson of Neligh, NE and Alan and Geisela Peterson of California.
Preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 6 brothers.
