Family graveside Services for Donna VanVleck age 92 Grand Island, Ne were held at Laurel Cemetery in Neligh, NE. Donna passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Veterans Home in Grand Island. Arrangements are being conducted by Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh.

Donna Jeanne VanVleck was born on November 27, 1922 to Alva and Doris (Ferguson) Marcellus in Neligh, NE. She graduated with the Class of 1940 from O'Neill High School. On October 26, 1944 she was united in marriage to Robert Alan VanVleck in Orchard, NE. They celebrated 63 years of marriage. Donna was a telephone operator in O'Neill. She enjoyed Husker Football, she attended every home game since 1963 well into the 1980's. She is survived by daughter, Cherlyn Hayes and husband Norm of Grand Island, NE. 4 grandchildren: Tom Hayes, Andy Hayes and wife Sarah, Nancy Mosier and husband Kelly, and Natalee McClellan and husband Jon. 5 great grandchildren: Chloee and Mason McClellan, Owen and Amelie Mosier, and Vivienne Hayes. Daughter-in-law Carolyn of Firestone, CO Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alan; son, Jim, and grandson, Scott.
