Funeral Services for DeWayne Rodgers, age 86 of Neligh, NE will be 11:00 am, Friday, February 15, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church in Neligh with Pastor David Kuhfal, Officiating. Burial will be in Clearwater Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:30 pm, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh. DeWayne passed away on February 9, 2013. DeWayne Rodgers was born on August 19, 1926 in Royal, NE to Frank and Eva (Murray) Rodgers. On March 13, 1943 united into marriage to Dorothy Aughe in Neligh, Ne. To this marriage they had 5 children. They farmed north of Neligh and retired from the State of Nebraska Department of Roads in 1988 after working for them 36 years. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, playing cards, and pool. He is survived by his sister, Pauline Johnson and brother, Bob Rodgers. Sons and their wives Gordon & Roi Ann of Phoenix, AZ, Arlan & Patricia of Katy, TX, Randall & Cynthia of Colon, NE and Dwight of Omaha, NE along with 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren & 2 great, great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy, son Ronald and four sisters and three brothers .
