Dean Neil Peterson

Graveside Services for Dean Peterson, age 66 of Neligh, NE will be Friday, November 24, 2017 at 10:30 am at West Cedar Valley Cemetery in Elgin, NE with Dr. Melanie Miller, Officiating. Dean passed away November 16, 2017 at his home in Neligh, NE. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Dean Neil Peterson was born on April 6, 1951 to Harold and Margaret (Detlefsen) Peterson at Neligh, NE. He attended school in Neligh and graduated from Neligh High School with the Class of 1971. He worked for Neligh-Oakdale Public Schools, Blackburn Manufacturing and had a variety of jobs around town before he retired. He enjoyed tinkering on motors, driving around town, and mowing lawns. He is survived by his three children, Amanda (Toby) Gibson of Bellevue, NE, Megan Peterson of Neligh, NE and Kristina (Daniel) Cadenbach of Lincoln, NE; his former wife, Cecilia Shefl Peterson of Lincoln, NE; siblings, Allen (Gisela) Peterson of Idaho, Terry (Donna) Peterson of Neligh, NE, Ellen Heermann of Neligh, NE and Jeanette (Loren) Hansen of Plainview, NE; Sister-in-laws, Louise (Ron) Peterson of California, RaeJeane (Lee) Peterson of Neligh, Ida (Lynn) Peterson, Ellen (Barry) Peterson Doescher of Orchard, NE, along with many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Ronald, Darryl (Jeanette), Lee, Lynn and Barry, and Sharron Mickelson.
