Memorial Services for Darold D. Murray, age 77 of Neligh, were at 11:00 am Saturday, March 30, 2013 at United Methodist Church in Neligh, NE with Pastor Gary Ganger, Officiating. Military Rites by Neligh American Legion Post #172 and VFW. Honorary Pallbearers were Steve Murray, Jo Le, Dennis Murray, Lillian Managhan, and Dan Murray. Darold passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Arrangements are being conducted by Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Neligh. Darold Dean Murray was born on January 29, 1936 to Glen and Sadie ( Schober) Murray at Neligh, Nebraska. He grew up and attended country school East of Neligh through the eighth grade and graduated from Neligh High School in 1953. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army on January 31, 1955 in Omaha, NE and was discharged at Fort Sheridan, ILL on November 24, 1956. On February 1, 1958, Darold was united in marriage to Barbara Johnson at Clearwater, NE the couple made their home on farm East of Neligh. They moved into Neligh where he began working at Whites Service Station and later worked for Assmussen International Inc. where he was a mechanic until his retirement. Darold enjoyed spending time with Grandchildren and his family. He also liked woodworking, gardening, camping, fishing and the outdoors. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Neligh. Survivors include his wife Barbara, of Neligh NE. Children: Steve and wife, Charlotte Murray of Tucson, AZ, Jo Le of Neligh, NE, Dennis and wife, Sherri Murray of Neligh, NE, Lillian and husband, Mike Managhan of Flagstaff, AZ, and Dan and wife, Jennifer Murray of Neligh, NE. Brother, Merv and wife Phyllis Murray of Tilden, NE. Sisters; Glendora Dimmit of Grand Island, NE, Delores Mooney of Kennewick, WA, and Virginia and husband, Cec Baker of Ferndale, WA. Grandchildren and families: Angie and husband, Ian Jorgensen and children Jacob, Nathan, Austin and Evan, Lindsey and husband, Mike Gilson and children Aiden, Sammy, Mason, Matthew Managhan and son Jase, Casey Managhan, Sierra Murray, Sydnee Murray, Logan Murray, Tommy Le and Lacey and children Raina Le and Anthony Le, Billy Le and Toshia and children Chloe and Kobe, Ryan Murray and daughter Audrina, Tyler Murray, Bridget, Bobbi, Mason, Chase, Kimmie Murray, Jordan Murray and Beau Murray. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grandsons, Jeff Le and Christopher Murray. Brothers, Ivan and Don.
