Memorial Service for Constance “Connie” Krohn age 83 of Neligh, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2024 at Neligh Faith Community Church in Neligh, Nebraska with Pastor Bruce Phillips, officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Neligh. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Constance Joyce Krohn was born June 18, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska to Elsie May (Malzacher) Krohn and Oscar Emanuel Krohn. Raised in Neligh, Constance was active in Job's Daughters and the United Methodist Church. She graduated from Neligh High School in 1959 and continued her education at Wesleyan University in Lincoln. She graduated from Wesleyan in 1963 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and English and a minor in Social Studies.
Constance started her teaching career at Clinton Elementary School in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1963. In 1971 she returned to Neligh to help care for her mother and continue her education career at Neligh-Oakdale Public Schools. Constance was a beloved teacher for 45 years earning recognition from her peers and a Master’s Degree from Doane University. She was active in the community through her work with PEO, the United Methodist Church, and served on the Neligh Library Board. In her final years, Connie loved reading English mysteries, visiting with friends and family, and decorating her home.
She died peacefully September 29, 2024. Connie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Krohn.
She is survived by nieces Alison Krohn, spouse Carey Taylor, and Kristin Krohn, spouse Robert McEntarrfer, grand niece, Esme Krohn, and grand nephew, Guy McEntarrfer. Constance will be missed by many.
