Chester "Chet" Alan Schade

 Memorial Service for Chester "Chet" Schade age 71 of Neligh, Nebraska will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2025 at Neligh Faith Community Church with Pastor Bruce Phillips, officiating. Burial will be in Brunswick City Cemetery in Brunswick, Nebraska. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Church. Chet passed away on February 26, 2025 at his home.    Chester Alan Schade was born on November 2, 1953, to Kenneth LeRoy and Donna Lou (Whistler) Schade at Storm Lake, Iowa. At the age of two he was raised by Chester and Violet Whistler, his grandparents. He attended Pocahontas High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1973. He came to Nebraska in 1975, where he worked on a ranch at Dungan. 1977 he went to California to see his mom but returned to Nebraska where he worked at Shelby and he met Deb Walnofer at Columbus. June 1979, they were married and to this union two sons were born, Moses and Matthew. He worked at COOP in Neligh, Anson Fertilizer and Orchard Fertilizer. Deb passed away in 2002. He then started working for Hurbert Feed and Grain driving truck. On August 23, 2013, he was united in marriage to Terri Van Ert. Chester loved driving truck and helping farmers out. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing, and 4-wheeler rides. He also enjoyed going to grandkids activities. 

   Survived by his wife Terri Schade of Neligh, NE. Sons, Moses Schade of Cottage Grove, OR and Matthew Schade of Omaha, NE. Stepdaughters, Alyssa (Ryan) Tillema of Neligh, NE and Nicole Bode of Neligh, NE. Grandchildren: Grace and Lexi Schade; Rylee, Emmy, Lexy Tillema; and Callie Bode. Sisters Jeannie (Chris) Haymes of San Diego, CA and Karen Nicolls of Crossville, TN. 

   Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Deb, brother-in-laws Chuck Nicolls and Greg Walnofer.
