Funeral Services for Carl L. Goldfuss, age 77 of Clearwater, will be at 11:00 am Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater, with Pastor Daniel Feusse. Pallbearers David Durre, Merlin Bolling, Tim Durre, Cameron Louridsen, Jarrod Long, and Gary Wolfe. Honorary Pallbearers John Damme, Don Maulding, Joshua Kelley, Jacob Kelley, Trevor Hallman, Dobrinca Hallman, Ryan Goldfuss, and AJ Goldfuss. Music was provided by Caroline Jaeke, Organist and Alan Poessnecker, Soloist. Special Music by Janice Bolling with her accordion. Burial will be in the Clearwater City Cemetery. Military Rites by Clearwater Legion Post #267. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, September 26 , 2010 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home, Clearwater. Carl passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge, Ne. Arrangements are being conducted by Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater. Carl L. Goldfuss was born on April 12, 1935 on a farm north of O'Neill, NE to Oswald and Erna (Poessnecker) Goldfuss. He grew up on a farm in the Royal and Orchard area. He attended country school. He was confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Orchard. He graduated from Royal High School and was the valedictorian of his class of 1953. Carl attended Wayne State College. He was enlisted into the United States Army at Omaha, Nebraska on December 8, 1954 and was discharged on December 7, 1956 at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. On November 18, 1956 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Carlson in Orchard, Nebraska. Carl worked for Hercules Explosive, Inc. for 28 yrs. in Lander, WY, Carthage, MO, and West Jordan UT. Carl also trucked and worked construction. They retired and moved to Clearwater in 1992. He was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #267, and Clearwater Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed playing cards, stock car racing, working on old cars, tractors loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, rock hunting, and deep sea fishing in Alaska. He is survived by his children: Carla and husband Sean Kelley of Wasilla, Alaska, Gaylene and husband Bruce Hallman of Coleridge, Steven Goldfuss of Big Lake, Alaska, and Keith and wife Sharon Goldfuss of Anchorage, Alaska. Six grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Trevor, Dobrinca, Ryan, and Adrian. Sister, Pauline Durre of Elgin, NE. Brothers, Gene and wife Sharon Goldfuss of O'Neill, Johnny and wife Phyliss Goldfuss of Verdigre. He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Marilyn. Brother, Gerald Goldfuss. Brother-in-laws David "Sonny" Durre. Nephew, Ron Durre.
